I got some pretty exciting news for you guys! You all know how obsessed I've been about
geocaching since I started it, right? Especially after I found my first
Travel Bug, I've been dying to create one of my own and set it free to have the most amazing adventure. So without further ado, let me introduce you to my very first Travel Bug:
RTW UFFI!
For sure, I wanted it to be somethig special, something that would have actual meaning to me - not just some random keyring or anything. So that's why I ordered a custom made keyring - how cool is that! (Or oh my god, you've gone crazy!, as my sister expressed it...)
As you can see from the picture, my fantastic four is heading all the way to New Zealand! The actual destination is gonna to be
Karekare beach in North Island. That particular beach happens to be super special to me for many reasons. Not only it's a location where one of
my favorite movies was filmed, but it's a spot where I spended the most perfect day few years ago when I was travelling in NZ. That beach is heaven on Earth! That's why it was obvious choice of destination for my first Travel Bug.
And what's even cooler is that (hopefully) my dear geocaching colleagues who will help UFFI's to get to NZ will also share pictures along the way! So that's how you, my dear friends and blog readers, will get a chance to follow this journey as well (under the tag RTWuffi). I am SUPER soaked about this whole thing and can't wait to share first news and pics with you guys!
How does that sound? I'm pretty sure there might be someone who thinks I'm a total geek, but hey - that's life. But the rest of you, from now on you can follow this spetacular round the world trip and I hope you are as excited as I am! In just few short days I will drop off the bug to a cache nearby, so stay tuned!
(Ps. I'm sure you all realised that these posts will be in English, hope that's fine with my Finnish friends. And for you my international friends, that stats tell me I have, now it's a perfect opportunity to reviel yourself!)
